I'm not sure if that is an issue these days -- you _can't_ use comments
for hiding scripts (or CSS) in XHTML (without actually hiding the
scripts / CSS from XHTML compliant browsers) and which older browsers
are a problem these days? 

Netscape 1.x didn't support HTTP 1.1 virtual hosts (so couldn't actually
be used for most sites on the net any more) and Netscape 3.x and IE 3.x
HTTPS security certificates expired in January 2000...
