There is an MKDoc::Forum module that works with MKDoc::Core (and
presumably with MKDoc-1.8), this uses the IMAP backend:

..but if you check-out the MKDoc-Forum module from CVS, you'll see
that it has been rewritten to use an SQL back-end - I understand
this work is incomplete.
