An update to note for further attention. I haven't read this yet, but 
the the summary suggests the e-GMS schema and application profile may 
need to be updated slightly when this is approved.

Dear DC-Gov, 
The UK's e-Government Metadata Standard (e-GMS) has been redrafted to
reflect a change in the mandated encoding scheme for its Subject
element. Editorial comments, examples and syntax have also been revised
throughout the Standard, in line with current guidance and preferred
practice.
A draft version of e-GMS is currently available for consultation on the
GovTalk site at:
