I've updated 1.6 CVS with a fix:

The rendering has also been split into a macro to reduce some 
duplicate code.

I've removed the timezone temporarily.  Ideally we would have a 
method which hid the timezone if it matched the environment of the 
site itself.

The newsletter hasn't been updated yet, so that still has the old 
formatting.
