Well deleting the petal cache on it's own doesn't fix the problem.

Restarting apache fixes it for the first request.

Setting 'MaxRequestsPerChild 1' doesn't seem to make any difference
*unless* the petal cache is deleted after each request -- if this is
done then everything works OK...
